No glazing is bulletproof. BulletShield is bullet-resistant and tested to UL 752, the recognized standard for ballistic protection. We specify the rating to the threat level identified for each facility.

How do you decide between security film, DefenseLite, and BulletShield?

We match the product to the assessed risk at each opening. 3M security film delays forced entry as a practical layer, DefenseLite denies entry at higher-risk doors and ground-floor glass, and BulletShield provides UL 752 ballistic protection where it is warranted. Most facilities combine them.

Does security film help retain broken glass?
